Financial Planning Counselor
About the role
As a Financial Planning Counselor, you will work alongside our internal Relationship Managers as the point person for complex financial planning education and analysis. You will develop and broaden your financial planning knowledge, collaborate with multiple departments in the firm, and engage in in-depth conversations with clients to help them determine the right path for their financial future. You will report to your Team Manager, who will aid in your training for the role and support your professional development for future growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Use your expertise in financial planning topics to support internal Relationship Managers and clients.
- Complete financial plans and other detailed analyses for existing clients.
- Proactively identify efficiency improvements, suggest solutions, and escalate issues or concerns.
- Report on feedback, trends, and insights to the Private Client Group Programs management.
- Host educational sessions for internal and external clients.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience within financial services.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning topics (CFP certification is beneficial).
- Strong communication skills to engage with a wide array of audiences via phone and email.
- Ability to manage complexity and coordinate across several departments under strict timelines.
