Job Description
RAVN Group is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, general ledger operations, and month-end/close processes.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPI reports for senior leadership.
- Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecast, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
- Build financial models to support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and capital expenditure analysis.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requested by leadership.
- Partner with department heads to understand operational drivers and translate them into financial impact.
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger management and month-end close.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
- Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Desired Experience/Skills
- CFA or CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Experience in Workday Financials is a plus.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting industries.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFAR and DCAA audit requirements.
- Experience with cost accounting and job costing methodologies.
- Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition for long-term contracts a plus.
Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Regularly ascend/descend stairs.
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- May be exposed to hazardous material.
