Job Description

RAVN Group is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, general ledger operations, and month-end/close processes.

  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPI reports for senior leadership.
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecast, identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
  • Build financial models to support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and capital expenditure analysis.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and special projects as requested by leadership.
  • Partner with department heads to understand operational drivers and translate them into financial impact.
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger management and month-end close.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
  • Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Desired Experience/Skills

  • CFA or CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Workday Financials is a plus.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting industries.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR and DCAA audit requirements.
  • Experience with cost accounting and job costing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition for long-term contracts a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly ascend/descend stairs.
  • Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
  • May be exposed to hazardous material.
