Financial Operations Analyst

Location: Houston, Texas

Compensation: $100,000–$130,000

About the role

We are partnered with a multi-billion dollar hedge fund and investment management firm, looking to hire a Financial Operations Analyst to work with their 15-person team based in their Houston office.

Responsibilities

• Drive forecasting, own strategy, and build models
• Trade booking and settlement
• Daily portfolio and cash reconciliations
• Risk and regulatory reporting
• Assist with the preparation of fund financial statements
• Support quarterly and annual RFIs
• Bring new ideas to the finance function
• Cross-functional work with multiple teams
• Translate operations performance into actionable financial insights for executive decision-making

Requirements

• Must be based in the greater Houston area
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, hedge funds, or fund administration

Skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to meet project deadlines
