About the role

Analyzes the monthly and yearly results of accounting transactions upon the financial posture of a small to medium installation MWR and Lodging funds. Interprets the effects of such transactions. Applies accounting concepts when rendering financial guidance to managers and division chiefs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and formulates the annual operating budget to include the five-year plan and narrative.
• Evaluates financial statements and prepares recurring financial reports for presentation to the fund manager and the installation commander.
• Supervises lower graded budget analysts, assistants, management analysts, and other NAF support staff.
• Responsible for the administration of NAF payroll, DFMWR key custodian, NAF fixed assets, NAF government vehicle fleet (VCO), and all other general administrative tasks/duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.

Qualifications

A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following Experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties described above using the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and experience in internal review or auditing field is required as a minimum. Documented experience must have been equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade/level. Must possess and maintain a real ID Driver's License.

Skills

Experience in accounting, internal review, or auditing is required. Must have knowledge of generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Pay

This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.

Schedule

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
