Financial Coordinator, Orthopedics
Job Summary
The Financial Coordinator is responsible for coordinating referrals, scheduling appointments, obtaining insurance verification and benefits, tracking, documenting, and communicating the authorizations of status to internal and external providers as well as the patient/family.
Pay
Pay Range: Minimum $24.25 Midpoint $32.12 Maximum $39.99 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience in a medical office.
- Preferred: Three (3) years of administrative or clerical experience in a medical field.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Specialized Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills.
Licensure
- None required.
Physical Demands
- Functional Demand: Light - Moderate energy level
- Lift and carry: 25-35 lbs.
- Push/pull: 50-100 lbs. (ie. empty bed, stretcher).
