Financial Controller | Cambria Hotel New Haven
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our operation and serve as a key finance leader supporting day-to-day operations. This role functions as the right hand to the General Manager, combining deep accounting expertise with strong operational partnership across the property.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes with accuracy and timeliness
Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple revenue streams
Manage audit, compliance, tax-related reporting, and internal control processes
Oversee cash flow, multi-entity financial activity, and capital planning initiatives
Act as a finance business partner to operational leaders
Translate financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
Drive process improvements across systems, reporting tools, and workflows
Ensure consistency and accuracy across financial systems and reporting platforms
Preferred Qualifications
2-3 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership responsibility
Prior experience as: Controller OR Assistant General Manager
Direct hotel experience required

Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-finance teams

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
Bonus: ~10% performance-based
