This is a full-time hybrid position requiring residency in Florida.

Location: Hybrid (after two weeks of onsite training), with the option to complete remote training on your personal computer until BayCare equipment is received. Quarterly onsite meetings may be required. Onsite training will take place in Tampa, Plant City, and Clearwater for 10 business days (M-W 8:00AM-4:30PM / TH-FR 8:30AM - 5:00PM).

Schedule

Shift: 8:00am - 6:30pm (4 ten-hour shifts)
Days: Monday through Friday / Every other Saturday

Responsibilities

  • Identify ER patients through bedside assessment and interviews who may be eligible for financial and social assistance from community agencies.
  • Act as a liaison between the patient and community agencies.
  • Clearly document all activities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of healthcare customer service or social services experience with a High School Diploma OR 1 year of healthcare customer service or social services experience with an associate's degree

Preferred: Knowledge of community resources for unfunded/underfunded patients.
