Financial Analyst, Sr.
About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst supports corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, executive reporting, and strategic decision-making. This role works closely with Corporate Controllers and senior finance leaders to provide valuable financial insights that drive business performance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare consolidated monthly financial forecasts.
Support annual budgeting and long-range strategic planning.
Develop and maintain enterprise financial models.
Assist with financial planning initiatives across multiple business units.
Monitor forecast accuracy and recommend improvements.
Analyze key financial drivers, including SG&A expenses, working capital, and accruals.
Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior guidance.
Identify financial trends and provide actionable recommendations.
Support profitability and operational performance analysis.
Deliver weekly financial updates to leadership.
Build and maintain financial models for strategic initiatives.
Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
Develop pro forma financial models for acquisitions and business initiatives.
Aid in valuation and investment analysis.
Support financial due diligence activities.
Prepare pro forma financial statements.
Assist with acquisition modeling and scenario analysis.
Evaluate financial impacts of strategic transactions.
Prepare executive-level financial reports and presentations.
Develop dashboards and reporting packages for leadership.
Support ad hoc financial analysis and business requests.
Present analytical findings to finance leadership when required.
Participate in finance automation initiatives.
Support AI-driven reporting and analytical solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement within the FP&A function.
Collaborate with Corporate Controllers and finance teams.
Collaborate with business leaders on strategic initiatives.
Support enterprise-wide planning and reporting activities.
Work across departments to improve financial decision-making.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in public accounting or a combination of public accounting and corporate finance.
Strong financial modeling experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret financial data and communicate business insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within a publicly traded company.
Exposure to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Knowledge of AI tools or finance automation technologies.
Experience preparing executive-level reporting.
Knowledge of financial consolidation and corporate reporting.
