About the role

Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid Processing and the Processing Coordinator, this position is responsible for carrying out the many processes surrounding packaging, awarding, troubleshooting, and clean-up of Federal and State grants and Federal and Private loans on student accounts. This position processes awards and changes to awards from receipt of application (either electronic or paper) to completion in PeopleSoft and SFA. The Processing Analyst also resolves issues with financial aid processes as escalated by various constituents and through case management in SalesForce (SF) or queries and reports from PeopleSoft (PS) or SFA.

This individual attends outreach activities to meet one-on-one with prospective and current students and parents, explain financial aid processes, and review student accounts for eligibility and award status.

With administrative faculty positions, some evening and weekend work may be necessary, and there may be occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Process packaging, awarding, troubleshooting, and clean-up of Federal and State grants and Federal and Private loans on student accounts.
  • Process awards and changes to awards from receipt of application (electronic or paper) to completion in PeopleSoft and SFA.
  • Resolve issues with financial aid processes as escalated by various constituents through case management in SalesForce or queries and reports from PeopleSoft or SFA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
  • 1–3 years of related professional experience.
  • Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.
  • Employee must not be in overpayment or default status for any Federal Student Aid program or award.
