Financial Accounting Assistant (Hybrid) - Radiology
About the role
The position supports financial operations for industry-sponsored clinical studies. Key responsibilities include collecting and reviewing data, producing reports, and managing accounts receivable and payable.
Responsibilities
- Affords assistance in data collection and reporting according to established organizational accounting procedures.
- Utilizes and reports data in the organization's cost accounting system using various spreadsheet and software applications.
- Compiles financial, operational, and special reports/studies as directed.
- Prepares/presents analyses of ongoing and proposed projects/studies, including costing and financial projection models.
- Participates in the development of short/long-term strategic financial operational plans.
- Verifies departmental accounting record entries, journals, and postings.
- Explains organizational policies/procedures to departmental accounting/finance staffs as needed.
- Serves as backup for departmental accounting/purchasing functions as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Normal office environment. Physical effort typically involves sitting at a desk or table, repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movements (PC typing).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- No specific certifications or professional licenses required.
- One year of relevant financial experience.
