Finance Operations Specialist

Finance Operations Specialist Location: Cincinnati, OH Duration: Temporary, approximately 3–4 monthsWe are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Operations professional to support customer account maintenance, documentation, and sales tax compliance activities. This role will focus on reviewing customer accounts, collecting and organizing sales tax exemption certificates, updating customer records, and following up with customers on missing information.Responsibilities:Review customer accounts and identify missing or incomplete informationContact customers by phone and email to obtain required documentationCollect, review, and maintain sales tax exemption certificates and supporting documentsUpdate customer records and exemption information in internal systemsTrack outstanding requests and follow up through completionAssist with Excel-based reporting, data entry, and account reconciliationMaintain organized documentation for sales tax audit supportIdentify discrepancies and coordinate with Finance and Sales teams to resolve issuesQualifications:1+ year of experience in Finance, Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Customer Account Management, or a related fieldStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsComfortable communicating with customers by phone and emailProficient with Microsoft Excel and OutlookStrong follow-up and task-management skillsExperience with tax documentation, sales tax, exemption certificates, or compliance is a plusAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities
