About the role

Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager to lead and oversee critical functions for Amazon Logistics – our rapidly expanding internal delivery operation, purpose-built to achieve and exceed the delivery quality and speed demands of Amazon customers. A Finance Manager for Amazon Logistics will be the finance leader for disruptive new transportation initiatives, with a focus on business partnering, strategic decision support, financial controllership and cost reduction. Leading a team of analysts, this person will partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to this high-growth organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic relationships with business partners and influence decisions.
  • Root cause issues quickly and uncover core issues using data; assist, consult with, and teach the business how decisions affect costs in their sites and create new mechanisms as needed.
  • Manage others, develop exceptional talent, and encourage your team to challenge assumptions.
  • Collect, analyze and manage quantitative data and create meaningful analyses to lead business improvement and cost reductions.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability.
  • Create a “learn by doing” environment by engaging with on-the-floor associates and managers to promote and encourage continued customer focus.
  • Partner with your team and develop all weekly and monthly financial close activities, all planning, forecasting, and reporting models while overseeing their continuous innovation and communication to both your operations & other business partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
  • 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.
  • MBA, or CPA.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

The base salary range for this position is $85,900.00 – $146,900.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
