About the role
The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in driving cost reductions and business improvement initiatives through partnerships with teams across Operations and Technology. They will collaborate with business leaders to analyze real-world problems, create meaningful business reporting, and build and maintain financial models to measure overall financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative data to create meaningful reports leading to business improvement and cost reductions
- Perform root cause analysis using data to uncover core issues and provide actionable insights
- Create and implement policies and programs to guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
- Develop and maintain financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisions
- Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure accuracy, automation, and timeliness of key decision data
- Deliver forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and interpret results to drive business improvements
Requirements
- Expertise in collecting, analyzing, and managing quantitative data
- Advanced reporting and analysis skills using Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, look ups)
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience in Accounts Receivable or Account Payable
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Qualifications
- 6+ years of tax, finance, or related analytical field experience
- 6+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
- Experience with financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
