Finance Manager , AWS Supply Chain Finance Forward Logistics

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead finance controllership for one or more supply chain leaders, working directly with the AWS Supply Chain organization. They will prepare and present financial summaries and business insights to Business and Finance Management, build out and enhance financial models, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses. The role will also develop and implement long-range business planning, work with big data, and lead automation efforts of critical processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial summaries and business insights to Business and Finance Management
• Build out and enhance financial models, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses
• Develop and implement long range business planning
• Work with big data and transform it into insights and information
• Lead automation efforts of critical processes
• Confirm compliance with current contracts and controls, while developing new processes and controls to support the growing, global AWS business
• Identify and drive process improvements, including creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and templates

Requirements

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Qualifications

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
