About the role

The Finance Manager 5 role focuses on the monetary affairs of the company, performing economic research, analyzing rates of return, depreciation, and investments. You will determine progress against strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts, analyze profit-and-loss statements, and prepare reports with actionable recommendations for management. The role involves generating forecasts, analyzing business trends, and researching economic progressions to support financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated NA Order-to-Cash (O2C) Account Solutions coverage for distressed AR accounts across the North American marketplace.
• Build and own account-specific recovery plans in partnership with O2C Account Management, Sales, and Finance teams.
• Manage daily AR follow-up, payment plan design, order release/hold decisions, and partner-facing escalations.
• Serve as the single point of ownership for distressed-account remediation.
• Perform financial analysis, including reviewing balance trends and interpreting large datasets.
• Assess credit worthiness by evaluating payment history, debt capacity, customer financial health, credit limits, and risk of default.
• Apply risk rating and scoring models, including understanding exposure levels, decision frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor portfolio risk, aging receivables, overdue balances, credit holds, collections trends, and concentration risk.
• Apply credit policy, manage approval thresholds, delegation of authority, and exception management.
• Analyze data to identify trends, validate data quality, and translate findings into business recommendations.
• Investigate root causes of credit issues, payment delays, and disputes.
• Forecast changes in customer risk based on financial, economic, industry, and payment behavior.
• Review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, ratios, liquidity, leverage, profitability, and working capital trends.

Requirements

• 10 years of finance experience, with at least 5+ years in credit collections and order-to-cash processes.
• Payment plan exposure is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Skills

• Must-have:
  • Negotiation and customer-facing communication.
  • Partner-level triage and problem-solving.
  • Strong Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs and handling large datasets.
  • Financial analysis, including balance trend review and forecasting.
  • Credit worthiness assessment and risk rating/scoring.
  • Portfolio monitoring and policy application.
  • Data analysis and attention to detail.
  • Balanced decision-making to support business growth while mitigating financial risk.
  • Financial statement analysis, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow.
• Nice-to-have:
  • Experience working with specific accounts and account representatives.
  • Retail industry experience.
  • SAP experience.

Pay

$65.00 hourly (OT eligible after 40 hours).

Schedule

• 12-month contract.
• Hybrid schedule (typical in-office/remote mix).

Location

Primary focus on Beaverton, OR, with potential options in Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY, if the talent pool in Beaverton is limited.

Team & Collaboration

• Work closely with a full-time Credit & Risk Lead.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders within the Finance team.
