About the role
The Salvation Army is hiring a Finance/HR Clerk in York, PA. The position reports to Corps Commanding Officers and is available immediately. It is a part-time role, working 25 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Manage Income and Expense transmittals to the Bookkeeper and EPA Departments.
- Help with HR items as directed by the Corps Commanding Officer, Business/Development Director, Women’s Auxiliary, and Advisory Board.
- Complete and send AR and AP for York to Divisional Headquarters on a weekly basis.
- Track income for special events, Christmas, etc., as needed by Corps Commanding Officer, Business/Development Director, Women’s Auxiliary, and Advisory Board.
- Prepare records of audit and send necessary items to the Bookkeeper for monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare money to be deposited in the bank with another member of staff.
- Keep retention records up to date.
- Receive and file all related HR papers for employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Corps Commanding Officer, Administrative Corps Officer, and Business/Development Director.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent in accounting.
- General computer skills.
- Knowledge and experience in computerized accounting programs.
- Good communication skills.
- Organizational skills to maintain a smooth operating accounting department.
