Finance Clerk
About the role
Join our team as a Finance Clerk and play an important role in the daily operations of ND Health & Human Services at the State Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Process payments, donations, and other financial transactions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
- Maintain financial records, enter data into accounting systems, reconcile information, and prepare monthly ledgers.
- Support daily business operations by managing postage services, ordering office supplies, and responding to vendors, contractors, and employees.
- Support other administrative and office functions as needed.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable working with technology, following detailed procedures, and managing multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A basic understanding of accounting processes.
- The technical skills needed to operate multiple computer systems, including PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office programs.
Benefits
This position is currently temporary; however, it has the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate based on agency needs and performance.
