Responsibilities
- Direct accounting activities across multiple entities, including payables, receivables, payroll coordination, ledger oversight, and period-end close processes.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for individual business units as well as consolidated reporting for leadership review.
- Lead the annual external audit and act as the main point of contact for auditors, ensuring schedules and documentation are prepared accurately and on time.
- Oversight regulatory and financial compliance requirements, including appropriate accounting treatment for nonprofit operations and restricted funding.
- Manage companywide budgeting efforts and maintain forward-looking forecasts, cash flow models, and variance analysis to support business decisions.
- Partner with operational leaders across software, hospitality, real estate, and nonprofit functions to align financial plans with organizational priorities.
- Supervise revenue accounting practices across varied income streams, including recurring software revenue, hospitality-related sales, and real estate project activity.
- Review intercompany activity and ensure proper reconciliation, eliminations, and consolidated financial presentation across all entities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally within multi-entity or multi-industry organizations.
- Strong background in full-cycle accounting, general ledger management, and month-end close.
- Experience preparing annual financial reports, supporting audits, and working with external accounting partners.
- Demonstrated skill in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements and financial reporting standards, including nonprofit accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently in a hands-on role while managing competing priorities across several business areas.
