Job Summary

The Finance Director – RTU is responsible for leading all financial planning, analysis, reporting, and control activities for manufacturing operations. This role partners with plant leadership, supply chain, operations, and executive management to drive profitability, improve operational performance, support strategic decision-making, and ensure strong financial governance.

This role provides financial leadership for budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, capital investment analysis, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the financial close process.
  • Provide financial leadership and business partnership to manufacturing and operations teams.
  • Develop and execute financial strategies that support company objectives and growth plans.
  • Deliver actionable insights to improve profitability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Support strategic initiatives, acquisitions, expansions, and capital investment decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of the company strategy across all areas of the business unit, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers to optimize the company's financial performance and strategic position.
  • Partner with the business unit president and leadership team to deliver on an accelerated five-year growth strategy to grow the business 5x in the next five-years.
  • Direct activities associated with revenue generation, cost management, capital expenditure investment, asset management and balance sheet of the business unit.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance against budgets and targets.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization’s financial function and performance.
  • Establish and maintain a high performing team.
  • Foster growth and development within the team.
  • Drive cash flow and manage the working capital of the business.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Oversee standard costing, product costing, and cost accounting processes.

Required Education, Experience And Qualifications

  • Candidates must have prior financial leadership experience in a progressive organization.
  • Operational finance experience, including three years in a leadership position, is required for success in this role.
  • Experience with SAP is critical.
  • Proven experience leading a multi-million dollar P&L, preferably in a product manufacturing business.
  • Seven to fifteen years of experience in related manufacturing industry.
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting. Master of Business Administration preferred.
  • CPA/CMA preferred.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis’ total compensation package. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $180,000 to $220,000, depending on experience and skills. Compensation details listed in US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits.
