The City of Cle Elum is pleased to announce the hiring of a Finance Director to join its leadership team.
About the role
The Finance Director will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. They will also be responsible for managing the city's investments and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting
- Manage the city's investments and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including banks and auditors
- Provide strategic financial advice to the City Council and other decision-makers
Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in finance and accounting
- A CPA certification is preferred but not required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a public sector environment is highly desirable
Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage complex financial systems and processes
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
- Knowledge of state and federal financial regulations
- Experience with financial software such as QuickBooks or similar
Skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Pay
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
The Finance Director will work a standard Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
