Duties
- Oversees the Centers financial operations, to include Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable plus other financial services.
- Responsible for the preparation of all Center financial statements.
- Analysis and explanation of all P & L variances for monthly financials.
- Oversees center compliance activities regarding compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other related legislation.
- Prepares, examines, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements, payroll and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and procedural standards.
- Inputs monthly journal entries into company general ledger software for posting.
- Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing entries.
- Ensures all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Aids in the development and implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Supervises finance department and provides training to staff as needed.
- Interviews and recommends for hire, disciplines, and evaluates performance of the direct report staff.
- Complies with all DOL guidelines, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate career success skills.
- Adheres to required property controls policies and procedures.
- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.
- Helps students become more employable through continuous reinforcement.
- Participates in PRH mandated staff training.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the individual’s scope and capabilities.
Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from a four-year college or university is preferred.
- Valid State driver’s license required.
