About the Opportunity
The Finance Commissions Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the management and execution of commission programs within the global sales organization. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate administration of compensation plans, analyzing commission data, supporting forecasting and reporting, and driving process improvements. The role collaborates with multiple departments to align compensation with business goals and optimize operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support global sales compensation plans, ensuring accurate commission calculations, reporting, accruals, and payouts.
- Manage and maintain sales compensation systems and data, including employee, plan, and transaction information.
- Analyze compensation results, identify issues, and recommend improvements for accuracy and scalability.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, HR, Revenue Operations, and leadership to support plan administration and business objectives.
- Respond to participant inquiries, provide compensation guidance, and deliver training as needed.
- Support commission forecasting, accounting, audits, and month-end close activities.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to increase operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, Finance, Revenue Operations, or Sales Operations with a strong understanding of commission plan administration.
- Hands-on experience with sales compensation and financial systems such as Varicent, Salesforce, and NetSuite.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for handling large datasets and detailed analysis.
- Strong knowledge of compensation accounting, accruals, forecasting, financial reporting, and audit processes.
- Ability to identify root causes, develop solutions, and implement continuous improvements.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in SaaS, software, or high-growth technology environments preferred.
Pay
$93,500—$143,750 USD
