Finance and Operations Associate
About the role
ACPWB is hiring a Finance and Operations Associate to manage office operations and facilities management for the Finance & Accounting team. This is a hands-on, operational role for someone who is organized, reliable, and comfortable being the person who makes the office work. If you do your job well, most people will not notice all the things you prevented from going wrong. We will notice. The Finance and Operations Associate position in ACPWB's Finance & Accounting team is an opportunity to be the operational foundation of a growing professional services firm. You will handle office operations and facilities management and everything adjacent to it, working with leadership and staff who are genuinely good at their jobs and genuinely appreciative of people who make it easier to do those jobs. We have a very clean office. We intend to keep it that way. The Finance and Operations Associate is the person who keeps ACPWB's office running. That is a genuine compliment. Without someone doing this role well, 5 people have a noticeably worse day at work. You will own office operations and facilities management and be the first person others turn to when something needs to be handled. We are looking for someone who finds that responsibility satisfying rather than stressful.
ACPWB was founded in Milwaukee in 2006 with a simple mandate: help working Americans understand and advocate for the compensation they deserve. Eighteen years later, that mandate has grown into a full-service research and advisory practice serving clients from early-stage employers to Fortune 50 enterprises — and we are still based in Milwaukee, because Milwaukee is genuinely underrated. We have turned down clients whose values are not aligned with ours. We have published research that made clients uncomfortable. We have declined to revise our conclusions when asked to. We mention this because it is who we are, and we would rather hire people who find it attractive.
