About the role
Atlantic Group is hiring a temporary Finance Analyst in New York, NY for our client, supporting private markets finance, fund accounting, business process optimization, and technology initiatives. This hybrid contract opportunity is ideal for a finance or operations professional with private equity or private debt fund experience who enjoys partnering with business and technology teams to improve accounting processes and data workflows. The role offers significant exposure to finance leadership while driving system enhancements and operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate finance and accounting workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements to enhance accuracy and operational effectiveness.
- Partner with finance, operations, and technology teams to gather business requirements and document processes for system and technology initiatives.
- Support financial systems, data management, reconciliations, and reporting enhancements while helping improve data quality and accuracy.
- Work across finance, operations, technology, and external partners to support projects and ensure successful implementation.
- Prepare financial and operational reporting, analyze data, and develop insights to support business decisions.
- Identify opportunities for automation, strengthen financial processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in finance, accounting, business analysis, fund operations, or investment operations.
- Experience within investment management, private markets, financial services, or a related environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial systems, data analytics, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.
- Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across finance, operations, and technology teams.
