About the role
The Finance & Accounting Manager oversees all aspects of day-to-day operations and finance and serves as the primary contact for human resources. Working closely with the CEO, the Finance & Accounting Manager assists in the preparing of budgets, provides regular financial updates, and serves as a resource to the Finance and Investment Committees of the Board.
Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the CEO
- Administer and review all financial plans and budgets
- Maintain and monitor progress and changes to ensure senior leadership team is informed of the organization's financial status
- Brief the CEO, Treasurer, and Finance Committee of the organization's financial standing on a quarterly basis
- Meet regularly with the Treasurer to ensure proper financial oversight
- Provide support to the Finance and Investment Committees, providing regular updates and reports
- Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accountants receivable (AR), including gift processing
- Serve as liaison to NCF's outsourced financial services vendor
- Manage insurance policies for office equipment, NCF vehicles, etc
- Work closely with Board of Trustee's Committee Chairs, helping to inform capital campaign, budgeting, and investment decisions
- Serve as main liaison to the auditor
- Generate financial and back-up reports related to the year-end audit
- Work with CEO to ensure all policies align with the NCF's mission, vision, core values, and objectives, and support our organizational culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred or 5 years of experience in an equivalent position
- CPA is desirable
- Demonstrated experience with not-for-profit restricted funds accounting
- Demonstrated experience overseeing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Online, MS Office, Outlook, Excel, and operational databases
- Experience with Blackbaud software, including Financial Edge, is desirable

Pay
Salary range: $95,000 - $110,000
