About The Role The Finance & Accounting Manager at Gemini Legal plays a key leadership role in overseeing core financial operations, developing and maintaining processes that support accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the Finance department. This position is responsible for managing month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and control, financial reporting, compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, cash management, tax compliance and cross-functional coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and banks. The Finance & Accounting Manager also leads financial technology system improvements, and process streamlining in partnership with the VP of Finance. In addition to guiding team performance and development, the Finance & Accounting Manager ensures high standards of accuracy, integrity, and strategic insight in all financial activities. As a member of the Finance department, the Finance & Accounting Manager is a strategic, detail-oriented, and collaborative leader who promotes excellence in financial operations and team development. Location: Hybrid-Remote / Rocklin, CA HQSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Compensation: $120,000 - $149,000 Annually The pay range for this role is $120,000–$149,000 Annually. Starting pay for new hires is typically within the lower third of the range: $120,000-$129,667 Annually. Exceptions may be made based on factors such as education, specialized skills, or significant relevant experience. What You Bring Develop and maintain processes to support team functions and financial controls, improving workflow efficiency Prioritize tasks and projects for the team, ensuring quality work and completion of daily assignmentsOversee finance and accounting operations including accounting, reporting, cash application, bank and credit card management, financial reporting, supplies, equipment, GIVE program, and other administrative responsibilitiesLead month-end and period-end accounting close processes, ensuring timely reconciliations and resolution of discrepanciesBalance sheet, cash, and working capital management for Gemini Legal Support, Inc. and Gemini Freehold LLCResponsible for establishing, monitoring, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) that support revenue growth and diversification, effective expense management, and operational excellence. Maintain and optimize accounting systems, including QuickBooks, Orange Screen integration for revenue recognition and accounts receivable reporting, Bill.com, Tri-Star, Stripe and Paylocity, ensuring data integrity and process efficiencyServe as primary liaison for all banking activities, including administration and security, wires, loan documentation, line-of-credit management and reconciliationsCPA Auditor engagement and associated finance and accounting process remediationsManage insurance and benefit audits by ensuring accurate and timely submission of required documentationLeads the cash application team to ensure timely and accurate cash application within Orange Screen while maintaining strong financial controls. Identifies, evaluates, and implements process improvements and technology solutions, including lockbox services, to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Drive revenue optimization initiatives through process improvements, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
