We are looking for a Final QC Technician to join our Quality team in Syracuse, NY. In this role, you will perform final quality inspections and support shipping activities to ensure our cold heads, compressors, and spare parts meet the highest standards before delivery to customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Perform final quality control inspections on all new and repaired cold heads and compressors to meet daily shipping schedules.
- Coordinate final QC checks with the Shipping Department and ensure products are packaged according to Bluefors standards.
- Follow established quality checklists to verify product requirements and complete all necessary documentation.
- Communicate with internal departments to confirm customer-specific order details.
- Track shipping-related inventory and notify Supply Chain of replenishment needs.
- Maintain 6S standards in shipping areas.
- Assist with packaging, boxing spare parts, loading trucks, and coordinating with common carriers to ensure safe and efficient shipping.
- Support shipping operations to ensure products are delivered safely and on time.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One to three months of related experience or training preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience using leak detectors preferred.
- Ability to use power tools, buffers, and related equipment.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic math skills, including working with fractions and decimals.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependability and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Pay
$22.11–$29.81 per hour, depending on experience.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, reach with arms and hands, and use hand and finger dexterity.
- Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Operates in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- May occasionally be exposed to humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, heat, cold, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- Noise level is usually moderately loud.
- Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as applicable.
