Final QC Technician I

About the role

The Final QC Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that all cold heads and compressors manufactured by Bluefors meet the highest quality standards before they are shipped to customers worldwide. This position requires a candidate with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform final quality control inspections on all new and repaired cold heads and compressors
• Clock with the Shipping Department to coordinate final QC checks and ensure all products are packaged according to Bluefors standards
• Follow established quality control checklists and procedures
• Pack cold heads and spare parts according to Bluefors standards
• Communicate with internal departments to confirm customer-specific order requirements
• Complete and deliver all required quality and shipping documentation
• Track shipping-related inventory and notify Supply Chain of replenishment needs
• Maintain 6S standards in shipping areas
• Assist with packaging, loading trucks, and coordinating with common carriers
• Support shipping operations to ensure products are delivered safely and on time

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• One to three months of related experience or training preferred
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
• Experience using leak detectors preferred
• Ability to use power tools, buffers, and related equipment
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
• Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Dependability and ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Commitment to safety and alignment with company Leadership Principles and workplace competencies
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
