About the role

Watteredge is looking for a Quality Control Technician, Jr. to help maintain the quality, reliability, and performance of our products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, and tolerances.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, production instructions, and quality documentation.
- Perform first-piece, first-article, source, and in-process inspections.
- Verify calibration and proper use of measuring devices and testing equipment.
- Review material certifications and evaluate nonconforming products.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records and reports.
- Enter inspection data into quality databases and track rework and scrap.
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to identify root causes and improve processes.
- Assist with new product launches, PPAP documentation, work instructions, and quality procedures.
- Support internal and supplier audits while helping maintain ISO quality standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and understand GD&T.
- Experience with calibration, precision measuring instruments, and inspection equipment.
- Familiarity with ISO quality systems, audits, and quality documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Proficiency with quality inspection software and Microsoft Office.
