Filler Seamer Operator - Day Shift

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Runs machine and makes changeovers per scheduling
• Verifies the pouches or lids staged conform to the batch sheet and feeds lids or pouches to the seamer
• Maintains and records pouch or can information
• Inspects QC inspector samples for seam tear down and records results
• Ensures proper product amounts and makes adjustments to can or pouch weights as instructed
• Keeps the area clean during downtime and changeover events
• Performs weekly sanitation
• Participates as a member of the team
• Collaborates with team on development, communication, and implementation of concepts, programs, and policies
• Attends appropriate team meetings
• Fosters cohesiveness among team members and resolves issues as needed

Simmons Operating Systems Principles and Objectives

• Familiarity with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies)
• Responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems
• Consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems
• Communication of concerns and improvement ideas

Minimum Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Some college and/or Tech School
