Field Technician (NM) - Sr.
About the role
Our US Central Environmental business is looking for an Environmental Field Technician to join their field team in Taos, NM.
Responsibilities
- Support a variety of remediation and O&M projects throughout the region.
- Work with an energetic and high performing team.
- Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems, including:
- Mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance
- Electrical troubleshooting and maintenance
- Data collection
- Site inspections and system performance sampling
- Equipment and chemical inventory
- Jobsite housekeeping
- Perform field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor, etc. in accordance with applicable standards
- Collect detailed field notes and provide excellent oral communication
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers and oversee contractor activities
- Provide support and oversight to other field activities as needed
- Coordinate with project team, local stakeholders, and clients
Requirements
- A High School Diploma/GED is required; a College degree in an environmental related field (e.g., geology, wastewater operations, environmental science) is preferred.
- At least 5 years of environmental field experience.
- Good electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability and willingness to perform field work.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required.
- Valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification is a plus.
Qualifications
