Field Technician (NM) - Entry / Mid

About the role

The US Central Environmental business is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join their field team in Taos, NM. This position involves supporting various remediation and O&M projects across the region.

Responsibilities

• Support operation and maintenance of soil and groundwater remediation systems, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance
• Data collection and site inspections for system performance sampling
• Perform field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor, etc., in compliance with applicable standards
• Collect detailed field notes and communicate effectively
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers, and oversee their activities
• Provide support and oversight to other field activities as needed
• Collaborate with project team, local stakeholders, and clients

Requirements

• A High School Diploma/GED with a College degree in environmental related fields (geology, wastewater operations, environmental science) preferred
• At least 5 years of environmental field experience
• Good electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Ability and willingness to perform field work and work overtime as required
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification is a plus

• High School Diploma/GED required
