Field Technician (NM) - Entry / Mid

About the role

The US Central Environmental business is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join their field team in Taos, NM. This position involves supporting various remediation and O&M projects across the region.

Responsibilities

• Support operation and maintenance of soil and groundwater remediation systems, including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance
• Data collection and site inspections
• System performance sampling
• Equipment and chemical inventory management
• Field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, vapor, etc.
• Collection of detailed field notes and excellent oral communication
• Coordination with contractors and service providers
• Oversight of contractor activities
• Support and oversight of other field activities
• Coordination with project team, local stakeholders, and clients

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required; College degree in environmental related fields (geology, wastewater operations, environmental science) is preferred
• 5+ years of environmental field experience
• Good electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Ability and willingness to perform field work and work overtime as required
• Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification is a plus
