About the role

At EquipmentShare, we’re hiring a Field Technician (Mechanic) at our Advanced Solutions rental facility in Hurricane, UT (Advanced Solutions) (Laydown). This role is part of a dynamic team building the future of construction through innovative technology and real-time support.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders using our tech platform.
  • Track machine service intervals and order parts.
  • Diagnose equipment issues quickly by accessing data from various makes and models.
  • Practice safe job practices for equipment repair.
  • Travel to customer job sites for preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures both at the shop and on-site.
  • Work individually or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment.
  • Aid in the training of lower-level technicians.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
  • Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Stay updated on OSHA requirements (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Experience with power generators, commercial HVAC equipment, and related maintenance.
  • Ability to calculate tonnage and read schematics.
  • Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • EPA 608 certification (preferred, obtainable within 6-12 months of employment).
  • High School diploma or trade school certificate.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • At least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
  • Physical ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Clean-shaven appearance for certain customer sites (if required).
