Field Technician, Hvy

7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday – Friday, with Saturdays & Sundays and callouts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on construction equipment in the field for customers.
• Troubleshoot and repair engine, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Operate equipment safely to diagnose errors, technical problems, and determine solutions.
• Establish and maintain service-oriented relationships with customers and supervisors.
• Order parts using equipment parts books or online systems.
• Complete service reports and enter data into computer systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a formal technical training program with a minimum of four years’ experience in a service setting.
• Engine, electrical, hydraulic, transmissions, and diagnostic troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and CAT programs.
• Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Team-oriented and adaptable to change.
• CDL with air brake endorsement required; clean driving record (no more than 2 minor violations in the past 3 years and no major violations in the past 5 years).li>
• Ability to work overtime and some weekends as needed.
• Excellent written, email, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and provide your own tools.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Environment

• Primarily field/shop environment at customer jobsites.
• Continuous walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Required to wear appropriate safety equipment (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection).
• Moderate to high noise levels.
• Flexible to work varying schedules and hours, with occasional travel.
