About the role
The Field Technical Representative (FTR) is a field-based position (with company truck and your home office) for the Warranty/Technical Services team at Amrize Building Envelope division, based out of Nashville. The FTR is the "boots on the ground" face of the company, conducting training, technical inspections, warranty claim investigations, and on-site technical construction assistance. This is a fully remote position—candidate must live within the territory (Central Oklahoma).
Responsibilities
- Educate customers, sales representatives, and teammates on the proper application techniques for Elevate, GenFlex, and Gaco roofing products per product specifications.
- Review technical installation deviations and make acceptance determinations within authority level based on system performance requirements for a given project, system, warranty, type/term, and construction site-specific conditions.
- Provide feedback on company literature, specifications, construction details, and assemblies to ensure the most accurate information is available for the customer.
- Develop strong customer relationships and inspire customer confidence.
- Follow corporate and division policies and applicable governmental safety regulations.
- Work with internal and external customers to understand and document complex business needs and troubleshoot issues.
- Define and document projects, set timelines, align resources, and execute to meet deadlines.
- Investigate and troubleshoot roofing installation and product quality issues to determine root cause and appropriate resolution.
- Proactively manage customer expectations throughout the investigation/troubleshooting process.
- Prioritize work and maintain an understanding of current business initiatives while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety.
Requirements
Base Requirement (one required):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Architecture; or
- Minimum 8 years active duty in a construction trade military occupational specialty (MOS) (verified by DD214); or
- High school diploma and minimum of 10 years’ construction experience in a Commercial Roofing Foreman or Superintendent role, or as a Technical Representative for a commercial roofing manufacturer.

- Strong technical expertise in most of the following products and an aptitude to learn the rest:
- Single-Ply Roofing Systems: EPDM, TPO, PVC
- Asphalt Roofing Systems: SBS, APP, BUR
- Metal Systems: Standing Seam Roofs, Cavity Wall Assemblies
- Roofing Coatings: Silicone Roof Coatings, Acrylic Roof Coatings
- Urethane Systems: P.U.F. Roofing, Wall Foam
- Garden Roofing Systems: Built In Place, Modular
- Personable, professional, and maintains a high level of integrity.
- Strong customer service focus and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to think outside the box and manage time effectively.
- Must be able to travel overnight 20% - 30% of the time by air or car.
- Must be able to work flexible hours with minimum notification when necessary.
- Must possess a current driver’s license.
- Claims adjusting experience.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
