We Elevate... Quality of urban life. Join us as a Field Superintendent - Modernization. Your main responsibilities include managing field technicians for hydraulic, gearless, and geared elevator modernizations, participating in field surveys, preparing modernization proposals and bids, determining the scope of work, ordering necessary parts, building a team environment, managing training and development, fostering communication, ensuring quality and safety standards, monitoring job completion, supporting sales teams, and enhancing employee teamwork and dedication.

Responsibilities

  • Manage field technicians in modernization projects
  • Prepare modernization proposals and bids
  • Determine scope of work and manpower needed
  • Order necessary parts and equipment
  • Build and lead a team environment
  • Train and develop field technicians
  • Foster communication and maintain good relationships with the local union
  • Affirm compliance with company and customer quality and safety standards
  • Monitor job completion and drive efficiency
  • Support local sales team in estimating modernization bids and resolving customer complaints
  • Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees
  • Participate in professional development programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 3 years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field
  • Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators
  • Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite software, Lotus Notes, and SAP
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Must have ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing

Skills

  • Knowledge of elevator equipment and parts
  • Ability to determine correct parts required for all aspects of a project

Benefits

Base Salary: $113,400 - $141,700
Fully vested 401k match, up to 7% of total eligible compensation.

3 weeks’ vacation which increases with tenure, 7 sick days, 3 floating holidays and 8 Company Observed Holidays.
Tuition Reimbursement - Eligible after 6 months of service.
Parental Leave – 100% base pay for 6 consecutive weeks within first year of a child’s birth or adoption.
