About the role

As a Field Specialist II, you will support field operations by providing on-site technical service and ensuring customer requirements are met safely and efficiently. You will manage assigned jobs, coordinate with customers and third-party service providers, maintain field equipment readiness, and follow established company procedures. This role serves as a key representative of Baker Hughes, delivering high-quality service and maintaining strong customer relationships in diverse field environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned jobs and ensure arrival at customer locations at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled service time.
  • Identify customer locations and prepare appropriately for field assignments.
  • Work effectively with customers and third-party personnel while on-site.
  • Support field operations in locations that may require overnight travel and stays near customer sites.
  • Work safely with electrical systems and equipment up to 5,000 volts.
  • Maintain truck inventory and ensure required materials, tools, and equipment are available for service activities.
  • Follow company processes, procedures, and safety requirements at all times.
  • Support successful job execution while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and internal teams regarding job status and operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Baker Hughes Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in field operations, electrical service, maintenance, industrial service, or a related technical environment.
  • Experience interacting directly with customers and supporting field-based operations.
  • Ability to safely work with electrical systems and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize work and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required to support customer service needs.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
