Our Digital Solutions & Chemicals (DSC) organization supports customer success through reliable field execution, product application expertise, and strict adherence to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards. The Field Specialist (DSC) plays a key role in monitoring applications, conducting testing, maintaining equipment, and supporting product and inventory management activities in alignment with Baker Hughes Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Maintain application operating parameters to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant field operations.
- Conduct field and product tests, record results, and communicate findings to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform equipment maintenance as directed to support reliability and operational continuity.
- Manage product inventory activities, including inventory reporting, ordering, and supporting deliveries.
- Build foundational technical and business knowledge while completing structured development through the LEAD – Field Specialist Development Program.
- Complete all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements, and Baker Hughes Core Values.
Requirements
- A two-year Technical College degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
- A High School diploma or a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Foundational knowledge of chemistry, materials, process flows, and petroleum engineering concepts (preferred).
- A general understanding of basic industrial processes and business principles.
- Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- The ability to work in an industrial environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions, heights, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a field-based role supporting operational activities at customer or industrial sites.
- Work schedules and conditions may vary based on operational needs.
- Shift: Monday - Friday 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM 100% onsite in Port Arthur, TX.
