About the role
Lead and oversee all self-performed construction activities across multiple active commercial projects throughout Southern New England.
- Coordinate labor planning, material needs, equipment allocation, logistics, access requirements, and work sequencing.
- Manage field personnel, foremen, and support crews to maintain production goals and project schedules.
- Oversee shop operations, warehouse activities, equipment yards, inventory management, and tool tracking.
- Ensure equipment readiness through preventive maintenance programs and equipment utilization planning.
- Support project teams with staffing forecasts, resource planning, operational logistics, and preconstruction efforts.
- Conduct routine site visits to monitor safety performance, productivity, quality standards, and operational effectiveness.
- Coordinate mobilization and demobilization activities for projects throughout the region.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, foremen, safety professionals, and company leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization across field and shop operations.
- Travel regularly between jobsites, company facilities, equipment yards, vendors, and supplier locations throughout Southern New England.
Requirements
- 10+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in field operations, shop management, fleet management, equipment management, or construction support operations.
- Background working for a commercial general contractor, construction management firm, or self-perform contractor.
- Experience managing multiple active commercial construction projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of:
- Carpentry
- Concrete
- Demolition
- Civil/site work
- Scaffolding
- General requirements and temporary facilities
- Equipment and fleet management
- Construction logistics and operations
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience coordinating labor, equipment, materials, and project resources.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer applications.
- Familiarity with Procore and digital reporting systems is preferred.

Pay
Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications up to but not limited to $160K base.
