Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Supervise staff and monitor the day-to-day of the Field Shop Department.
- Promote and embrace the “Ruffner One Team” culture between all divisions operating within Ruffner the field shop.
- Fill equipment needs for Clients by supervising and delegating activities of Tech Ops.
- Implement new processes and procedures as directed by the VP Engineering & Ops / Ruffner Field Shop.
- Manage and provide leadership and direction for the Inventory Control Coordinator position.
- Maintain Quality Control of inbound rentals and systems to ensure all equipment is returned and accounted for.
- Oversee all outbound dry hire rentals and systems to ensure all orders are accurate, contracted, and delivered per client’s expectations.
- Aid in the coordination and management of all inbound and outbound shipping of equipment and fly packs for all Bexel projects and NEP divisions.
- Mentor current and future Tech Ops personnel. This may include training in broadcast equipment, current processes, create a defined career path for employee growth, and identify talent from within the Bexel and Ruffner facility.
Position Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of academic and work experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Broadcast and high-volume warehouse/logistics environment.
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production for major commercial and cable television networks.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, Logistics/Inventory management software, and related).
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
