Field Service Technician (Road Safety Tech)

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and preventative maintenance to ensure maximum system uptime.
• Use PCs, software, and multimeters to diagnose and repair hardware and IP network devices.
• Partner with the engineering team and local contractors to optimize repair procedures.
• Review system performance reports and maintain detailed digital logs via Google Workspace.

Requirements

• Must-have technical experience: 2–4 years in electronics repair, installation, or programming.
• Must-have electrical skills: Proficiency with AC/DC circuits, relays, and multimeters.
• Must-have networking skills: Ability to set up and troubleshoot IP devices/networks.
• Must-have field readiness: Comfortable working outdoors in all weather, at heights (10’–30’), and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must-have reliability: A personal vehicle capable of transporting a ladder (mileage reimbursed at the National rate).

Qualifications

• A degree or certification in Engineering, Tech, or Construction is a plus.
• Nice-to-have skills: Ability to read wiring diagrams and building plans, experience with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Schedule

This is a hands-on role where 65% of your time is spent in the field and 25% involves regional travel across the Northeast.
