Field Service Technician (Remote FL)

The Field Service Technician role at Pitney Bowes is designed for individuals who can troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, thrive in an independent work environment, and build strong client relationships. This role supports the company's SendTech Solutions, which provides mailing and shipping technology solutions to various clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a multi-zip code territory within 2 hours of Jacksonville, Florida, with up to 80% driving time.
• Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot both hardware and software issues to reduce downtime and callbacks.
• Install, service, and upgrade Pitney Bowes Shipping & Mailing equipment, ensuring clients are fully trained and confident in their use.
• Use hand tools and small power tools to perform repairs, maintenance, and installations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Experience with automated or electro-mechanical equipment (preferred).
• Comfortable with significant driving time and working independently in the field.
• Motivated by the opportunity to earn additional income through service and parts sales.
• Able to lift 55+ lbs. and bend, squat, stoop, or stand for extended periods.
• Familiarity with Windows, PCs, and basic networking (preferred).

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must reside in the Jacksonville, Florida area and be legally authorized to work in the US. No relocation assistance will be provided. The role does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.

Benefits

This role comes with a competitive hourly wage starting at $23, with potential for a 10% commission on service and parts sales. A company car may be available after 6 months of employment (based on availability).

Pay

The wage range for this position is $23 per hour, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as it relates to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.

Schedule

Your schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, with some overtime required. This role is aligned with traditional office hours.
