About the role
NCR Voyix is looking for Field Service Technicians to provide best-in-class service to some of the largest retail customers in the industry. This role acts as a first-line response to customers, delivering solutions that build long-term relationships. You will organize, triage customer issues, and handle problems proactively. Training is provided through virtual and hands-on classroom sessions to enable fast learning and impactful contributions.

Responsibilities
- Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
- Service electromechanical equipment like self-checkout systems within an assigned territory.
- Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance (PM) work, and system overhauls.
Requirements
- Local candidate to the specific geographic area (Raleigh, NC).
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements.
- Basic PC skills, electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including driving several hours per day.
- Flexibility to work rotating and weekend shifts, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times, as well as holidays.
- Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance, and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
- Physical ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, and work with hands, including repetitively grasping and manipulating objects of varying sizes.
- Willingness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts in retail environments to service or replace networking equipment such as access points or switches.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software.
- A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification.
- One or more years of related experience.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $17.00 to $19.00, depending on location and experience. Overtime available at time and a half.
