About the Role
Ring Power Corporation, a full-line Caterpillar dealer with headquarters in St. Augustine and operations throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States, is seeking a Service Field Technician II. This role involves diagnosing and performing repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, while adhering to safety and environmental policies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct all work safely, adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies and procedures.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment and complete required technician training.
- Maintain a necessary set of tools to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform repairs on equipment, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Work neatly and efficiently, improving methods, work areas, and safety standards.
- Inspect components to maximize parts reuse and control repair costs.
- Complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times.
- Monitor job expenses versus estimates and notify supervisors of cost overruns before job completion.
- Maintain a positive attitude and supportive conduct, setting a standard for teamwork.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
- Train and/or mentor others in the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Completion of all required training curriculum to be designated as a Service Field Tech II.
- Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively with employees and customers.

- Frequent exposure to outside environmental conditions, extreme heat (above 100°F), noise, vibration, hazards (e.g., moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working at heights), atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dust, gases), and oils.
- Occasional exposure to extreme cold (below 32°F), balancing, stooping, and air particulates/contaminants requiring respirator use.
