Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation using established company standard work
  • Promote a positive customer experience and serve as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems
  • Work in a wide variety of municipal and industrial settings, including but not limited to:
    • Drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities
    • Refineries and chemical manufacturing plants
    • Food and beverage processing facilities
  • Service instruments in NEC hazardous locations (Class I Division 2) as required
  • Submit prompt, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure
  • Follow safe work practices according to company policy
  • Execute administrative activities in support of service visits
  • Daily travel to customer sites within the Riverside, CA area and surrounding territory; company-paid travel, accommodations, and meals for overnight stays

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; associate’s or technical degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience
  • Mechanical aptitude is a must—experience with preventative maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair
  • 2+ years of field service experience and/or customer-facing roles preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to rent vehicles or book hotel rooms for business travel

Travel Requirements

  • Daily travel to customer sites, typically within a 2-hour radius of the home office (Riverside, CA)
  • On average, 70% of weekly travel will include overnight stays
  • Occasional travel to other states within the region, with trips lasting up to one week at a time

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $29.00 - $31.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for incentive pay. The final salary will be based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, and business needs.
