About the role
As a Field Service Technician, you will represent the NCR Atleos brand by being the first line of response on-site at our customers’ locations. You will problem-solve at a basic module level (FRU), organize and plan your time effectively, and know when and to whom to escalate issues. Apply the knowledge learned during your on-the-job training to resolve task-related problems in straightforward situations, emphasizing manual skills. Most importantly, you will provide consistent and clear communication using our service app to maintain customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Follow Safety and Security Procedures when working on ATMs.
- Complete NCR Atleos-specific Trainings and Certifications on our training website.
- Diagnose problems based on error logs from the ATM and information provided from our service app using a company-provided cell phone.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs on ATMs, both indoors and outdoors.
- Responsible for accurate and prompt reporting of updates and details of the work performed at the ATM, including call closure details.
- Maintain parts inventory and related records.
- Accurately report hours worked and miles driven daily.
Requirements
- Must reside in the specified geographic area.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company requirements.
- Access to reliable transportation for work purposes.
- Familiarity and ability to use and operate an Android cell phone (company provided).
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job which include:
- Prolonged travel during several hours of the workday, which includes inclement weather.
- Carrying and lifting tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Bending, squatting, walking, standing, sitting, reaching, working with your hands, and repetitively grasping and manipulating objects of varying size.
- This role requires proof of the following minimum insurance coverage:
- Bodily Injury Liability: Minimum $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident.
- Property Damage Liability: Minimum of $100,000 per accident.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, overtime, and/or flex shifts.
- Must be able to safely work outside during all seasons with potential exposure to the elements.
- Must have a high level of personal integrity and work well with minimal supervision.
- Must have good problem-solving skills, be able to pick up new skills quickly, and work well under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- An associate degree is preferred.
- Basic Electrical and Mechanical aptitude, skillset, and knowledge.
- Previous experience with NCR or similar equipment is preferred.
Pay
The hourly rate of pay is $14.00. Additional compensation: In addition to the hourly rate, this role pays an extra $6.00 per activity completed.
Schedule
Monday - Friday; 10 am - 7 pm
