Field Service Technician I

The operation comprises three divisions: Aviation Solutions, Ports & Borders, and Global Services.
This role involves travel to various customer sites domestically and internationally as required.
Responsibilities
- Perform customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
- Conduct on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order, isolate start-up malfunctions, and take corrective action.
- Complete ad-hoc and predetermined work assignments following established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Manage resources, maintain schedules, and coordinate repair activities in priority sequence to adhere to contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
- Work in a 24/7 customer environment requiring immediate response times (on-shift or after-hours on-call) and travel to sites, including long-distance driving.
- Accept and update work orders in CRM systems such as Salesforce, Maximo, and GURU.
- Perform tasks involving frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.
- Work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces) around dangerous industrial equipment.
Requirements
- Related trade experience (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or military training (electrical, mechanical, electronics). Equivalent experience may include 2 years in an electrical or mechanical field service role.
- Computer literacy with competency in MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience troubleshooting and field-repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong orientation toward customer focus and teamwork.
- Willingness and ability to travel at short notice.
- Ability to pass an in-depth background check (TSA eQIP).
- Physical ability to:
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 200 lbs.
- Move/manipulate equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs with assistance from carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks, or other devices as defined in manuals and technical documentation.

Pay
Pay Range: $48,100.00 - $86,950.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors considered include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreements, or other legal requirements.
