Responsibilities
- Receive and log customer support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Provide first-level troubleshooting for Windows PCs, printers, Microsoft 365, email, internet connectivity, and common software applications.
- Reset passwords and manage user accounts in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
- Install software, drivers, printers, and Windows updates.
- Configure new workstations and basic hardware deployments.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine system health checks.
- Assist with antivirus, endpoint protection, and backup monitoring.
- Document all work performed and update Knowledge Base documentation.
- Escalate unresolved or advanced issues to Tier 2 or Tier 3 technicians.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Other duties as assigned by department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of managed service or IT support experience.
- Working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of networking principles including: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and Firewall configuration.
- Familiarity with remote support tools.
- Experience using ticketing systems is preferred.
- PC hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Excellent customer communication skills (phone, email, and in person).
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Professional verbal and written communication.
- Strong troubleshooting methodology.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize multiple customer environments effectively.
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Report to prove clean driving history: no accidents in a 24-month period and no more than two minor moving violations in the same period.
- Valid (Operator) Class E driver’s license or ability to obtain within 45 days.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Associate Degree in Information Technology.
- Microsoft Fundamentals certifications (MS-900, AZ-900).
- CompTIA Network+.
- CompTIA A+.
