Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced 2nd- and 3rd-level local and remote technical support for assigned Allegion facilities (office, manufacturing, and warehouse environments) to meet or exceed SLA metrics.
  • Troubleshoot independently, perform root cause analysis to eliminate recurring incidents, and communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support and install technology hardware and software, execute defined software/hardware lifecycle processes (ordering, tracking, deployment), and maintain accurate documentation, asset inventories, and change records.
  • Follow and promote defined ITIL and cyber-security procedures and policies and work directly with Cybersecurity to maintain acceptable VLM/security posture.
  • Participate in and lead assigned projects and long-range planning initiatives to drive operational, security, standardization, and IT/OT improvements (including M&A integrations).
  • Vet and define shop-floor/OT processes to ensure compliance with Allegion networking and security policies and support basic OT/industrial technologies where required (PLCs, serial-based scanners/printers — nice to have).
  • Support network, server, security, telephony, and application infrastructure at a basic to advanced level as required; provide AV, label/laser/multifunction printer, and handheld scanner support.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for site management, collaborate with cross-functional and global IT teams, and promote standards for Field Services.
  • Leverage Artificial Intelligence tools and assist in developing automated systems into existing workflows.
  • Provide regular daytime onsite coverage (Monday–Friday) with occasional off-hours/weekend/on-call support as required.
  • Travel: Up to 50% local travel within the Southern California area.
  • Perform other assigned operational duties.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of work experience supporting manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Windows 10/11), Apple macOS, Microsoft 365/Office suites, SharePoint, Teams, Visio; exposure to Linux (Ubuntu) and mobile OS (iOS, Android, Windows CE) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated PC hardware troubleshooting experience (Dell preferred), experience with serial-based technologies, handheld scanners, and label/laser/multifunction printing.
  • Basic AV support experience.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills, operational excellence mindset (root cause analysis, process/risk reduction, change management), and broad IT knowledge/awareness of industry trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences and work effectively in cross-functional and virtual teams.
  • Self-motivated problem solver capable of operating with limited supervision.
  • Onsite presence required.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in computer science/IT or related field preferred.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+ preferred; experience with security tools (Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Netskope, Cisco VPN/ISE) is a plus.
  • Experience evaluating, integrating, and supporting AI-driven automation into existing IT workflows to improve efficiency, reliability, and maintainability (experience with RPA, scripting, or LLM tools preferred).

Pay

The expected salary range for this role is $56,000 to $76,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
